I will never forget Dr. Prins, my gynecologist at The Women´s Clinic in Portland. He delivered my baby and later performed a surgery. He was very funny besides the best doctor. I will never forget his lighthearted spontaneous humor-which was quite refreshing during moments of vulnerability. I look back on those moments fondly.

Grew up in Bob in the Magnolia neighborhood and were friends at Queen Anne High School and the UW.He was smart and interesting and we had a adventure together hitch hiking to a Rose Bowl game in college. Best wishes to his wife and children.

Worked with Bob Prins for years. Could always count on him to see the big picture, share what's new and be available for consultation. I've missed him since his retirement. My best wishes to his family and close friends.

I worked at Island Hospital for 10 years and when I found out that Bob was the son of one of my favorite childhood shows the good witch Wunda Wunda. I thought that that was the coolest things ever. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I am absolutely devastated to learn of Dr. Prins passing. One of the most caring, brilliant people I´ve ever met. I admire him greatly. What a loss to the medical community, community and his family. Delivered my daughter and son. He was a treasure. Condolences to his family.

Jewell, I'm so sorry. I just now found out. Bob was my good friend for more than 20 years. This hits me so hard. Who can I talk to about quantum physics now? He was the smartest person I've ever known. I'm devastated.

Dr. Bob and I had fun at work during football season arguing over the Cougs and dogs. Applecup was especially interesting.

I enjoyed working with Dr. Prins at Fidalgo. He worked with my husband and I with our infertility. He was always so kind, knowledgeable and didn't beat around the bush. I am truly saddened by this news. He was a great man and I know will be missed by many. Jewel, I am so sorry for your loss. I am praying for you and your family during this difficult time. Sending much love.

A guy's guy and a doctor's doctor. Dedicated, respected, and loaded with conviction. It was privileged to get to know him.

He delivered me into this world in 1997, even had to catch me by my ankle! Thank you to him for all the good he brought in his life and my deepest condolences to his family.

We lost an amazing doctor and friend. Brilliant and caring, and there is no one I trusted more with my care. I began seeing Dr. Prins as a teenager and saw him every year for nearly two decades. He was a kind and caring doctor. I know he meant it when he asked how I was. He remembered everything I told him from the last visit, and I knew he was listening. I trusted him so much I sent my sisters to his care as well. Where other doctors failed, Dr. Prins helped give my sister a beautiful baby girl. He also brought two beautiful boys into this world for my other sister. What a joy to see him care for them and then hold those babies. Babies brought into this world by and partly because of an amazing physician. Our doctors should be our friends and should care about us. He did that 100%. To his family, my sincere condolences. I hope it brings some comfort that he will be missed by our family as well.
