Thomas Tyner Obituary

Mount Vernon - Thomas Lowell Tyner of Mount Vernon, WA, passed away on August 28, 2021, at the Mukilteo Memory Care community. He was born on May 26, 1944 in Lake Placid, NY. Tom finished his undergrad at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, ID, and while there fell in love with and married Jerilyn Palmen in 1965. They raised their four sons in the Corning, NY, area and eventually moved to Washington State where Jerilyn was born and raised. Since 2014, the Tyner's have called The Vintage in Mount Vernon their home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Glenn and Ruth (Rogers) Tyner and brother-in-law Paul Dickson. He is survived by the following: Wife, Jerilyn; Sons and their wives: Daniel and Delaine, Andrew and Michelle, Matthew and Jennifer, Jason and Kirstin; Grandchildren: Brock and Cade, Rylee, Gabriel and Thomas, Bishop and Lauren, Warrick and Brogan; Sisters: Glenna Dickson and Anitarae (Alfred) Robinson; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The Memorial Service for Tom will take place on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 4:00 PM at Bethany Covenant Church, 1318 S. 18th St, Mount Vernon, WA. Jerilyn would like to thank each of you for your understanding and support as Tom struggled his last five years with memorial loss. Donations may be made to Jerilyn for publication of Loving and Living with Alzheimer's: A Memoir.
