Carol Morris Obituary

Carol Lynne Morris, the last and youngest of the 9 children of John and Helen Dabkowski of Natrona, Pennsylvania in Allegheny County, passed away at Mills-Peninsula Hospital and Medical Center on 20 March 2025. Carol is survived by her spouse of 57 years Jackson Morris, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Carol and Jack met at Little Rock Air Force Base in 1966. Carol was an Air Force Nurse and Jackson was a Crew Commander. They were married on Base on February 24, 1968.

After Honorable Discharges as Captains, they resided in Jacksonville, Arkansas for a while then struck out for the San Francisco Bay Area where they have lived for 56 years, they bought a home in San Mateo in 1972. Carol was employed at Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame for 41 years, working as a Head Nurse and finally as a Discharge Planner. She retired in 2000 but worked as a Camp Nurse for a couple of years. Carol's total career covered 45 Years.

Carol graduated from St. Joseph High School and St. Francis Medical Center School of Nursing in Pittsburgh in 1956, working as a Pediatric Nurse at a Medical Office for years before entering the USAF Nurse Program. She served 3-1/2 years at Little Rock AFB.

Carol attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1997 from Notre Dame University in Belmont while still working as a Nurse.

Children loved her and flocked to her side. They somehow felt she was their friend. She was that.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
