I just learned of his passing from my brother, another one of Matt's clients. My heart goes out to his family. Matt was the consumate profession and more than that, he was a great person who cared. I say that as a senior staff counsel for the CA Department of Insurance, Legal Division, Enforcement Bureau. Anytime I spoke with Matt on one of my policies, I would tell him that he should train agents on how to conduct business well and be the model agent.

Matt was my insurance agent for over a decade, I followed him from Los Altos to his Burlingame office because he cheerfully went above and beyond for his clients. Matt stuck with me through thick and thin, and I am so sorry to learn of his death. I always asked about his kids just to hear his voice light up with love. My sincere condolences to his wife and children.

I'm so sorry to hear of this news! Although I hadn't seen or kept in touch with Matt since our days at St. Pius I will always remember him for the comical wildcard he was in our younger days. Thanks for the laughs Matt, rest easy!

I first met Matthew in 1995 through our mutual interest of skateboarding. He was a few years older than me and was always pushing me to get better at skateboarding. We unfortunately did not stay in touch and I only learned of his passing today.
My condolences to his family and especially his wife and children.
The dash on our tombstone represents the time we spent here on earth.
Now only those who loved Matthew know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own, the cars... the house... the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
Matthew Definitely made is dash count.
Rest In Peace, Matthew.
