Joan Hutton Obituary

Joan E. Hutton, 84, of 19860 Bennetts Valley Highway, Byrnedale, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021, at her home.
She was born October 6, 1936, in Byrnedale, daughter of the late Stephen and Concetta "Jennie" Micale Kuchy. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Bennetts Valley Schools.
Joan was a former employee of Sylvania and was owner of the former Log Cabin Inn in Weedville from 1977 to 1993. For many years she sold Stanley Home Products and in 1990 she received her license to sell insurance and investments.
In 1957, Joan married George F. Hutton, who preceded her in death on February 28, 2013.
She is survived by her daughters: Rita Shutters and her husband Andy of Weedville; Zita Longo of Byrnedale; and Valerie Hutton Strobel and her husband Udo of Brighton, Michigan; four grandchildren: Nesha Daugherty (Anthony), Molly Lecker McIntosh (Ben), Tiffany Hutton, and Samuel Hutton; four great-grandchildren: Desiree Wilson, Dalton Daugherty, Elle Snedden, and Reese Snedden; and by her sister, Judy Winkler of Weedville.
In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Mark S. Hutton on October 5, 2010; a grandson, Jacob Hutton on September 23, 2010; and by a sister, Rose Hedberg.
Joan was a member of the Penfield Free Methodist Church, with her faith in God being the most important part of her life. She would often visit the residents of Christ the King Manor and the DuBois Nursing Home, and would frequently drive others to anywhere they needed to be. Joan was also a member of the Lonely Widows Club in St. Marys. Whether it was through her work or time serving others, everyone knew Joan.
There will be no visitation.
A private Funeral Service will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, with the Rev. Wally Mapes officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West Eighth Street, Erie, PA 16505, or to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford Street, Boys Town, NE 68010.

Rita, Zita, Valerie and extended family:
Sincere sympathy to all the family for the loss of Joan, your family's matriarch.. she will be missed by many. She was kind, compassionate and a blessing to all that knew her. Her smile would brighten anyone's day. She reminds me of St. Theresa, whose mission on earth was to serve and do good things for others. This assured her a place in heaven We will see Joan again when our day comes. Praying that the Lord comforts you at this sad time and in the days ahead. Love to all.
