Linda Hartland Obituary
She was born on November 15, 1949, in St. Marys, the daughter of the late Vincent and Lena Michael Slusarick.
On June 15, 1974, Linda married the love of her life, Michael Hartland, who survives.
Linda was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She earned her bachelor's degree in education from Edinboro University and devoted 32 years of her career to teaching at Ridgway Elementary School. She was known not only for her commitment to education but also for her deep passion for music. Linda's most cherished activity was playing the keyboard and singing at her church. She was a proud member of the Concert Choir of Elk County, enriching the lives of those around her with her love of song.
In addition to her husband of nearly 51 years, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Dolly Slusarick, a niece LeAnn Manginell, and 2 nephews, Jim and Brian Slusarick.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent M. Slusarick.
A Memorial Service for Linda L. Harltand will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 19 S Broad St, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Rev. Matthew Williams officiating.
Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Trinity United Methodist Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.

Linda and I were childhood best friends, Our parents were best friends so we shared many years filled with fun times together. Memories in which we talked about for years. She was a wonderful teacher, musician, a loving wife and a dear friend to so many. Our special connection will always keep our spirit together. My sympathy to Mike and all her friends and family.
