Adam Null Obituary

Adam David Null

June 10, 1982 - Oct. 7, 2016

MISHAWAKA - Adam Null, 34 years old, passed away at Indiana University Hospital, October 7, 2016.

Adam was born in Mishawaka on June 10, 1982, to David and Teresa Null. He was the oldest sibling to his brother, Kyle Null, and to his twin sisters, Alix Null and Kelsey (Matt) Hogan. Adam also had many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who were an important part of his life. Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Al and Violet Null, and by his maternal grandparents, Ava Hazelip and Namon White. Also, Cooper, the family dog.

Adam was usually the smartest person in the room. He was a technology and Internet expert. He was amazing at mathematics. Adam seemed to have endless knowledge on so many topics. The internet made it possible for him to learn anything and everything. Adam started his first IT consulting company at the age of 14 years old when he created www.iwz.com during the Internet boom of the 90s. During that time, Adam found great success by working remotely for companies stationed near Silicon Valley in California. He relocated to California after graduating from Mishawaka High School in 2000. After his best friend and business associate tragically died, he found himself back in the Michiana region where he continued serving small businesses and the community at large with customized IT solutions, web design, and consulting.

Adam loved to golf with his Dad, family and friends. He enjoyed boating and fishing. Adam was a Radiohead fan, science fiction lover, lovable bullhead, video game and movie enthusiast, and a BBQ connoisseur. He cared deeply for his family and showcased that love in the care and attention he took in cooking some of the most memorable family dinners. He never lost touch with his inner child and because of this Adam had an incredibly fun and ridiculous sense of humor.

“There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.” - Hunter S. Thompson

Adam will always be loved and never forgotten. Adam will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have been part of his life.

Family and friends may gather at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. in Mishawaka, on Friday, October 21st, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. A private service will be held at Fairview Cemetery at a later date.

Condolences for the family may be left at bubbfuneralchapel.com.

As the high school principal during the technology boom. Most businesses and schools were behind the technology curve. Our technologist were learning on the job and didn´t have all the answers. So when I had a cutting edge question and needed a cutting edge answer I didn´t go to our support staff. I went to Adam, he was brilliant. And always had the solution. And more importantly what a nice guy. Joe Trimboli

Dear David, Teresa, Kyle, Alix and Kelsey,
Far too long separated, in distance and words, but never in heart. It nearly stopped beating on the sad news Adam's death. Words fail. Memories rush through my mind; my stomach churns; verklempt am I, at the pain you must feel, the loss and your unimaginable days and nights. So much, so often, we should have been closer but now, the distance seems like a sword, and all I want to do is hug, cry, squeeze and show you the love always held for you and Adam. His traveled the roads of genius and gentle-man with outward comfort. He will be remembered for both, and so much more. On behalf of Rollin & Matt

Dave and Teresa,

I was truly saddened to hear of Adam's passing. While I had not seen him in some 15 years, I was immediately hit with fond memories of growing up on Kensington Place and neighborhood games of roller hockey and hide-and-seek. Wishing comfort and peace to your family during these difficult times - You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Dave, Teresa, and family, my heart was heavy when I read the paper today and learned of Adams passing. I'm in shock and disbelief. My prayers and thoughts are with you during these difficult times. Adam was just one of those exceptional individuals that you couldn't help not to like. He was a class act! Adam was so gifted and his talent was second to none. He had a brilliant mind and remarkable skills. I use to ask Adam for help when the districts technologists were stumped. He always came through. I remember asking Adam if he thought that our district's computer system was secure.
He smiled and said that he thought that he could hack into to it. So I challenged him giving him permission to try. After I reassured him that he would not be in any trouble for his attempt, he was into our system within 3 minutes. He showed us that we needed a better fire wall to protected our confidential records. He was amazing. The world is a better place because he was here; and the world is a little poorer because he is now gone.
May he rest in peace while memories of his goodness, live on.
Sincerely,
Joe Trimboli

Dear Null Family~
My deepest condolences to your family. I was deeply saddened to hear of Adam's passing. He was certainly a special person with a charming personality. When I had Adam as a student at Hums, he knew the answers to the questions, before I asked them. He was admired by so many teachers, students and friends. I embrace all of you with love and sympathy. We will be in Denver Friday, so we will not be able to see you then. You are in our prayers~
With love to all the Null family~

I can't believe that I just looked up your name in obituaries. My heart sank as I searched Adam Null. I wish I could turn back time and make sure I spent way more time with you. We all get too busy with life and think we have all the time in the world to spend with our loved ones, but unfortunately that's never the right way to go about it. You will be forever deeply missed. I love you.

You're such a blessing to everyone close to you. You always made me feel like part of the family. Your intelligence was intimidating, although you never talked down to me and you always seemed interested in what I had to say. Our relationship meant a lot more to me then you knew I Love you and I'll miss you
I'll see you again someday
