GRANGER - Edward J. Fadden, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 6th, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Ed was born on May 6, 1932, in Cincinnati, OH, to Edward B and Julia (Coughlin) Fadden. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a son, Edward J. "Jeffrey" Fadden III. On July 2, 1955, in Dayton, OH, he married the former Ila M. Book. Surviving are his loving wife, Ila; a daughter, Valli (Steven) Carpenter of Granger; a son, Steven (Paula) Fadden of Mishawaka; and grandchildren, Kayla Carpenter, Kaitlyn Fadden, Jared (Amanda) Fadden, Jacob Fadden and Ila Christine Fadden; and a sister, Julie (Edgar) Nemoff of Cincinnati, OH. Ed owned his own construction company. He was a very caring and charitable person. He loved his animals and never met a stranger. A memorial service will be on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge Inc., 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
