Eugene Zehring Obituary
August 20th, 1930-May 27th, 2021
Gene Zehring passed away at 6:20 am May 27th in Mesa AZ while in the care of Hospice of the Valley. He was born to Earl and Louise Zehring. He had one brother Robert Zehring (Deceased) and he has one sister Mary Ann Kalka in Osceola IN.
After his graduation he married Diana Rodgers September 9th, 1950 in South Bend IN. They have been married over 70 years and have 8 sons and daughter in laws, 24 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 3 foster grandchildren.
He was a professional photographer for 26 years in Mishawaka owning Zehring's studio. His wife worked by his side doing weddings and portrait photos. Some of his passions were being active in his church, being a pilot and doing aerial photography along with nature photography. His photos were published in some well-known magazines. He retired in 1982 and moved to Mesa AZ with his family.
He will be missed by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, would you consider a donation to Hospice of the Valley 2525 E. Southern Rd. Tempe AZ 85282?

Mr. Zehring was a terrific photographer and a nice man. He was the photographer for our wedding in 1972. They lived near my sister when they lived in Mishawaka and his boys were always fun. My condolences and prayers to the family.

Diane and family,
My deepest sympathy on your loss of husband and father. I remember Gene from Mishawaka High School and graduation in 1948. And also his photography studio. Wonderful memories of the days in Mishawaka.
