Frances Redman Obituary

March 3, 1928 - July 2, 2007
GRANGER - Frances C. Redman, 79, of Granger, IN, passed away at 9:50 p.m. Monday, July 2, in her home surrounded by her very loving family. She was born March 3, 1928, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Leonard and Jennie (LaFaucia) Madison. She grew up on the east side of South Bend. On January 28, 1946, she married William Redman. Together they raised six children in Granger, IN. Frances enjoyed cooking for her children, grandchildren and others. Nobody ever left her home hungry. She made the best meatballs and spaghetti! Of course, she was Italian. Every Christmas she enjoyed making kiflies with her daughter Carol and granddaughter, Ashley. They would always make six hundred. Mom enjoyed giving them to family and friends. Every day mom loved to listen to her police scanner. She could tell you everything that was going on. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William; daughter, Linda Sinkovics; a son, Tom Redman; sisters, Mary Madison and Anna Crist; and a brother, James Madison. Survivors include daughters, Diana (Tom) Laureys of New Carlisle and Carol (Tim) Magiera of Granger, with whom she had lived since 1988; sons, William Joseph (Donna) Redman Sr. of South Bend and Randy Lee (Barbara) Redman of Mishawaka; a son-in-law, Dennis Sinkovics Sr. of Mishawaka; 13 grandchildren, William (Kim) Redman Jr., Dan Redman, Denny Sinkovics Jr., Jeff (Carla) Sinkovics, Corey (Angie) Sinkovics, Jennifer (Tim) Finneran, Stephanie (Bob) Minegar, Denise (Kris) Watson, Wendy Sinkovics, Angie (Aaron) Culp, Ashley and Sara Redman, and Matt Laureys. Also surviving are 16 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; her beloved dog, Suzie; numerous nieces and nephews, and her extended family who called her Mom. Her surviving sisters include Vicki (Kenny) Wolfe of Howe, IN, Helen Moore of Mishawaka, Genevieve (Jack) Kuespert of Granger, and a brother, Leonard Madison of Elkhart. Special thanks go to Dr. John Bulger and staff, and to the wonderful caregivers of Hospice of St. Joseph County. Mom, Letting you go was the hardest thing we ever had to do. But now you're free of pain and suffering. You're now with your loved ones who left you too soon. You have left us with countless memories that will live in our hearts forever. We'll miss you mom. All of Our Love, Your Children and Grandchildren Services for Mrs. Redman will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 9, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Vito Rulli, pastor of Lakeside Baptist Church, Lakeville, IN, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. today, July 8, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park. In memory of Frances, contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.

My thoughts are with the Redman family. You will never find such a loving family as they are. All of Francie's children they are the greatest.
Even though her children have health issues themselves they were always there for their Mother. It did not hinder them what so ever.
Have to hand it to this kids they stood by their family thur the good times and the worst.
Francie was a wonderful cook and baker. She loved cooking for her family and friends. You would never leave her house hungry.
She was always there with open arms.
And love to sit in her chair at the end of her counter in the kitchen and drink coffee and just talk. And listen to her police scanner.
Gonna miss you Francie so you and the good Lord and all those heavenly angels have a cup of coffee.

I would like to express our sadness on the passing of your mother. She was one of my favorite aunts and I have many fond memories of visiting her house with my parents. She was truly one of the best people I have ever met, very kind and very giving
