ELKHART - Kathy A. (Kelly) Easterly, 59, of Elkhart, IN, died at 8:25 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 13, 2011) at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1951 in Elkhart to Raymond & Carol (Stutzman) Homo. Surviving are 2 daughters, Courtney L. (Kelly) Brantley of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lacey C. (Newman) Lassus of Elkhart, IN; 1 son, Ryan D. Kelly of Elkhart, IN; 4 grandchildren, Maurice Brantley II, Quentin Brantley, Ethan Kelly and Chelsa Lassus. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Dana (Linda) Homo of Bristol, IN, Michael (Karen) Christopher of New Carlisle, IN; and 1 sister, Tamara (Craig) Houghton of Goshen, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents. Kathy graduated in 1970 from Elkhart High School. She received a master degree in Fine Arts from IUSB. She was employed by the Elkhart Community School System as an elementary art teacher at Woodland, Mary Daly and Mary Feeser Elementary Schools. The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 17, 2011) at the funeral home. Cremation will take place. Memorial contributions may be given to the National Lymphoma Society.
