Hi Dad, it is coming upon the 12 anniversary of you going home to Jesus and you are still dearly missed.
Since I have your ear, could I please ask a big favor of you? Would you please ask the Dear Lord if he will place his loving hands upon this Country and the World and save it from the destruction that is going on by his nemesis . You see things have changed for the worst since you were last here, and it is most scary to say the least.
You now have many Great Grandchildren and Great Nieces and Nephews that you were not able to place your loving arms around and spoil with your love, but I am sure you already know that. I have found several family members that were lost to us and relish in knowing them. There are some who have come to see you and I hope that your reunion was great.
Dad I am scared for the family and the young ones at this time, so would you ask for this favor of love and forgiveness.
I love and miss you, miss talking with you and sharing all the new things that have happened. Guide and protect us, as I hope and pray that Jesus will also guide and protect.

With all my love, Your Daughter
Sharon

Happy Birthday
I was feeling kind of blue
Until I found a penny at my feet
This little coin I found reminded me of you
I reached down and picked it up
And held it near my heart
When I find a penny
I sometimes feel you near
I know you are watching from heaven
Watching over all of us
I still love you daddy
From the bottom of my soul
Oh and by the way Happy Birthday.

Well Dad a new year has begun, it is now 2013 and I miss you every day. For you birthday we went to the cemetery; Sharon, Dennis, David, Bob and I had our coffee and we brought one for you and mom. Sorry we forgot the donuts. Thanksgiving came and went and no one was pinched on the tush. Christmas was a good day, shared it with Sharon and Denny, Tammy and Jeff, Robb and Alana and her two boys Jacob and Ethan, Austin and Blake and Colton. We ended the day with a euchre game. I knew you are near because you keep undoing my shoe laces. Missed you and Mom bunches during the holidays.

Rejoice
A Prayer of Thanks for Dad

I have all of Dad's ties
I rejoice in those ties
I rejoice in the untied shoes
Because they are reminders of Dad
I rejoice in the pictures I have
I rejoice in the man he was
I celebrate his life
Sure, there are tears
Moments of sorrow
Memories to hold onto
The ties were a part of his life
Reminders of his life
The gentleman he was
His kindness and generosity
Not one of us can fill his shoes
But I can use his ties
To remind me of him
Thanks God for giving me a great dad.

Dad,
You're in our thoughts a lot lately
When our shoe laces come undone
We laugh, call out your name
We double knot them
Yet they come undone
We talk, we laugh
Share fond memories of you
Just like the other day
We shed a tear to know your near
Each untied lace reminds us
Within our family, you will forever be
So, never let your memory fade
Untie our shoes if you must.

Father's Day is approaching. Yellow roses grow in heaven, Lord pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Father's arms and tell him they are from me. Tell him that I love and miss him. When he turns to smile place a kiss upon his cheek and hold him for awhile, because remembering him is easy, I do it every day. There's an ache in my heart that will never go away.

Missing You

I cannot write the words
That can express my heart
There are times I wish you were here
I miss you and think of you often
I speak your name as I look upon your photo
No one knows how I feel or when I cry
I feel your love deep in my heart
We talk often on your memories
But now when I need your strength,
When I am blue a hug from you
I need you to take away the frown on my face
When heart aches become many
A hug from you would help
Tonight my heart aches for Mom
I need and miss you ever so much
I wish you could come back
And help me with her
Or to hear your voice saying
Pray it will be alright
Though I am really missing you tonight
I want you to know
Tthere will always be a place
In my heart just for you
I love you, Dad
Thank you for listening

Dear Dad
If I could have but one more day
To tell you how I feel inside
The void of you not being here
The great loss without your love around me
If I could hear your voice
It would heal my heart
And life my spirit with joy
If I have one more day
I would tell you that I am sorry
For all the hard times I gave you
I would tell you that I need you
To hold my hand today
I'd tell you that I love you
If I had one more day
Now I long to see you smile
That little grin you had
To hear those words " I love you"
To hear you laugh as you always had
If only I had one last day
Oceans of tears fill my heart
Without you life has not been the same
Some days you seem so far away
Other days softer than a feather
Floating upon the breeze
Your memories, your spirit
Come in peaceful silence
Thoughts of you on a bright blue day
Come flowing like a gentle river
Into my sad heart
If we could turn back time
If I had just one more day
I'd tell you that of all the dads
You would still be my choice
Always know I love you
No one can take your place
You were here my entire life
A year has passed since your leaving
I need you in my heart even more
When I need you the most
Just like God I know you will be there
Your memory will not be erased
So God when you see my dad
Give him all my love.

Dad,

A year has come and gone and as always you are missed. We know that you are in a better place, no pain and we are sure that you are having quite a visit with all those that have gone before. I am sure it was a good homecoming for you because you went so peacefully, with only that single tear that escaped. It was hard to let you go but we also knew that you needed to.

We went to your grave today and decorated it and sat down and talked, also visited a few others while we were there and it was nice to remember you, but miss you.

Dear God,
If there is a special rose
In heavens garden
One of crimson red
Would you pick it for me
And deliver it to my father
And tell him that I love him
And that I miss him oh so much.
Fathers day is coming
And I cannot visit him
Because a year ago on fathers day
God you took him home
So when you give him the rose
Tell him that I know
We will meet again one day
Then together we will pick a rose
In the mist of heavens garden.

Dear Dad,
Easter came and went
You were greatly missed
But your presence lingered near
As memories of past Easters
Were discussed with you in mind
Linda spoke of you with love
Cody and the boys came by
Jeff pinched Mom on the leg
We all laughed
Because that is what you did
At one of the last meals
You ate with us
An after noon of quiet reflection
Gave way to ham, potatoes and cherry pie
Grand children and their Easter basket
Wondered where grandpa Puddin was
Pictures of them were taken
For future memories
We had fun, and laughter
Few tears were shed
All in all a good day passed
Just wish you were here
To enjoy it with us.

Love you daughter.

Dear Dad,

Before I went to bed,
Before I closed my eyes.
I had to let you know,
That I still love you so.
And that love is still strong.
Every monent we were together,
I hold dear in my hear.
I think of things we've done
Things you did out of love
The times you said "I love you",
Are etched on my heart.
So before I go to bed tonight
I just wanted you to know.
I said a prayer for you,
That God would bless you so.
That He would cradle you in his arms,
And keep you in his care.
I hope this makes you feel better,
If only for a while.
I'd gladly write a million,
If it would have only made you well.
In my heart I knew God
Had a better plan for you.
I know that this sounds crazy Dad
But I had to let you know.
I still love you,
From the bottom of my soul.

Celebrating My Father

When I was young
You gave me directions for life
Guidelines which you lovingly defined
You would causion me when I did wrong
Compliment me when I did good.
For this I celebrate you!
.
In you strength I found tenderness
In your eyes their was love
You gave me freedom to reach for my dreams
You helped me to stand alone
To make my own decisions
For this I celebrate you!

Though I sometimes took you for granted
You were my guide, my teacher
You let me have my independance
Letting go when the time was right
You let me learn things in my own way
For this I celebrate you!

Thank you for being there
When I needed you.
A am greatful for all you have done.
But I guess thats what
Being a Father is all about
For this I celebrate you!

Now Dad this is how it is
Between you and me
I love you and you love me
Thank you for not just being my father
But for being my friend
For this I celebrate you!

Reflection

It has been years since Dad and I went fishing.
But as I stood on the bank of the river
Memories flooded my mind
I went back in time to my childhood
Dad took us fishing - taught us to bait our hooks
How to set the bobber and take off our own fish
Then a bobber bobbed in the water
The ripples reminded me of Dad
While reflecting on our fishing days
I realized that he taught me more than fishing
He taught me patience and about choices
Don't fish over there it's too weedy
All that brush in the water, you'll lose your bait
He was helping me to make the right choices in life
As I stood on the bank of the river I was his little girl again
I could hear him say "I'm proud of you Peanut"
He said that I was all the person and more
That he hoped I would grow up to be
I stood with tears streaming down my face
As I remembered those days
Maybe we didn't catch a single fish
But it was a wonderful time spent together
As father and daughter

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

my grandfather was best grandfather there ever was i have all kinds of memories just too many to tell my grandfather will be surly missed but i well see him later i love you grandfather.

June 20, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Welcome Our Dad Home

A page turned quietly today
In tears we watched you fade away
God decided it was time
To Gather you to His side.
He wanted to set you free
To take you to a better place
Peacefully free from pain.
We held your hand tightly
As you left your earthly home.
We will miss you dearly
But we knew you had to go.
Father, we thank you for this man
And all his earthly days.
Father, now he comes to You.
Although we're very sad,
We know he's in Your loving care.
We're glad he was our father;
That we had the honor of knowing him.
Though we will miss him in the days ahead,
We would never want to call him back
To a world of suffering that he left.
So God, we have but one favor;
Please welcome our Dad home.
