Peter Goble Obituary

Peter Andre Goble, aged 72 years, longtime resident of Middleboro, died on Sat. July 16, 2011, at Boston Medical Center, Boston, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Jean A (Tower) Goble; they had been married for 33 years. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Julliene J (Caeylde) and Amos Goble. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School and had served in the United States Navy, as a machinist mate 2nd Class. He was a retired pipe fitter, with Local #51 of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. He had been a Greyhound trainer, with the former Neptune Kennels. He was a member of the Wankinquoah Archery Club, the National Saltwater Anglers. The love of his life was his boat. Survivors include his wife Jean; a son Christopher A Goble and his fianc Amanda of Middleboro; granddaughter; Abigail Rose Goble of Middleboro, and sons; Peter Goble, David Goble, David Shaw, Scott Shaw, Craig Shaw; a daughter Dawn Goble and 11 grandchildren. Private services are being handled by the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleboro. In lieu of flowers, donations to: The Boston Medical Center Cancer Research, Office of Development, 801 Massachusetts Ave, First Floor, Boston, MA 02118-2393 or the Middleboro Veterans Park, 20 Centre St. Middleboro, MA 02346. Mom,
Peter and I had some good times together, whether it was working on the house, shooting archery, or out in the bay quahoging, he always treated me good.
