Peter A. Goble

Peter Andre Goble, aged 72 years, longtime resident of Middleboro, died on Sat. July 16, 2011, at Boston Medical Center, Boston, after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Jean A (Tower) Goble; they had been married for 33 years. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Julliene J (Caeylde) and Amos Goble. He was a graduate of Middleboro High School and had served in the United States Navy, as a machinist mate 2nd Class. He was a retired pipe fitter, with Local #51 of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. He had been a Greyhound trainer, with the former Neptune Kennels. He was a member of the Wankinquoah Archery Club, the National Saltwater Anglers. The love of his life was his boat. Survivors include his wife Jean; a son Christopher A Goble and his fianc Amanda of Middleboro; granddaughter; Abigail Rose Goble of Middleboro, and sons; Peter Goble, David Goble, David Shaw, Scott Shaw, Craig Shaw; a daughter Dawn Goble and 11 grandchildren. Private services are being handled by the Ashley Funeral Home, Middleboro.
