Memories and Condolences
for A. Fasano

Not sure what to say?

PAUL HARVEY

March 24, 2010

TO THE ENTIRE FASANO FAMILY,
Please accept my apologies for not making Fuzzy's wake or funeral.
I simply didn't know.
When I saw Marta a couple of weeks ago, I got the impression that Fuzzy had more time.
I don't know where to begin to describe
how I felt about Fuzz. Aside from my father, he was my greatest role model, friend,
pseudo "uncle" and to this day, the greatest boss I ever had.
Those 10 years I spent growing up at Fasano's are among the best years of my life.
Some of my memories:
After I just got my "new" Plymouth Road Runner (which no one was allowed to drive), Fuzzy casually informed me:
'Harvey, give me your keys". I told him not to beat on it, he said "don't worry" and then proceeded to rev the engine and leave 100 feet of rubber after giving me that 1000 watt smile.
the best times we had were when we would do a job together and that hour before the madness, we would talk about life, my girlfriend, cars and of course, the business.
I could go on and on.
You always knew where you stood with Fuzz, you had better work hard, take pride in your job and if you make a mistake, move on and try not to make it again.
The man handled pressure like no one I ever knew.
And he told it like it was.
One final story: my first girlfriend took a school trip to Bermuda and when Fuzz found out about it, he said: "I don't know Harvey, who knows what she's doing, you're going to have a long week, you'd better just work more hours". This he said to an insecure kid! But that was him, direct, honest and to the point.
He aslo used to say "Harvey, you wish you were Italian" and I have to admit that on occaison, he was right.
Pleas accept my deepest sympathies.
PAUL HARVEY

Fuzzy gave me my first job, catering when I was fourteen! He was truly a blessing to society. I still can recall the good ole days at the Sons of Italy, when I would visit my dad (Charlie Palmer) , and the rest of the crew. It was like sneaking into a secret society! My condolences to the entire Fasano and Googin families! My mother, (Theresa Palmer) wishes to send her love and prayers too.

There are no words to express our sorrow. Fuzzy was one of a kind, he was like family to us and we will miss him. We loved that cranky personality, the one that he used to hide his caring and generous side. He truly touched so many lives especially ours. Corinne and Family you are in our thoughts and prayers.
