Anthony Boren Obituary

WEYMOUTH Anthony J. Boren, Sr., a retired crane operator and a sailor, died on Sunday May 31, 2009 at the Weymouth Health Care Center. He was 94 years of age. Born, raised and educated in Chelsea, he had lived in Weymouth since 1952. He was a U.S. Army veteran off WWII and was a graduate of Wentworth Institute. He was a life member of both the VFW 1399 in Weymouth and the U.S. Power Squadron, Bear Cove, Hingham and in his early years was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Beloved husband of 58 years to Norma M. (Miles) Boren. Devoted father of Anne L. Murray married to Richard of Rockland and the late Anthony J. Boren, Jr. Loving brother of Jean R. Julius of WI and Blanche Blackburn of FL. Proud grandfather of Stephanie Henry married to Robert of Rockland and Eileen Murray of Rockland. Great-grandfather of Meghan Henry. Funeral from the McDonald Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH, at 809 Main St. (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Thursday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow in the St. Jerome's Church, North Weymouth at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
