Since meeting Charles as a volunteer at Milron Hospital, it was an instant connection and admiration for each other. Charles had a unique sense of humor, but at the same time was very sensitive to others.
Very recently Charles ended our phone call, like so many times before by saying that he prays for me. This always meant so much to me--his passing is a shocking and profound loss to me and I'm sure, anyone who knew him.
