Donald Wendt Obituary

Donald Darrel Wendt, 69, of Hanover passed away February 7, 2015, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was born, raised, and educated in Byron, Minn., and was the son of the late Norman and Genevieve (Ranthum) Wendt. Donald was a proud veteran of the Armed Forces, serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He last worked as a pipefitter for Bisco Environmental in Taunton. Donald was an active communicant at Holy Family Church in Rockland. He was a great father, grandfather, and role model. Donald was the husband of the late Karen L. (Kisil) Wendt; father of Michael Wendt of Rockland, and Donald Wendt of Framingham; brother of Eileen Burch of Minn., Ronald Wendt, and the late Thomas Wendt of Minn.; grandfather of Sean Wendt, Paul Wendt, Nicole Martin, Riley Wendt, Sophia Wendt, and Nicholas Wendt. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate Donalds life Monday, February 16, 2015, in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, Rockland, from 5-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 17, 2015, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church.
