Pauline Pannell Obituary

Pauline Blanche Pannell, 93, longtime resident of Bartlesville and Nowata County area, died Monday evening in Bartlesville.
Memorial Services for Mrs. Pannell will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Dan Fowler and Rev. Terry Long of the First Baptist Church officiating. Private interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Pannell, to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 500 N. Broadway Suite #250 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73102.
Mrs. Pannell was born on November 21, 1918 at Dewey, Oklahoma to Albert Newton and Eliza Irene (Messenger) Franklin. She came to the Nowata County area near New Alluwe, where she was raised on a farm, and received her early education there She was married to Dorman Dennis Pannell on December 24, 1939 at Nowata, Oklahoma at their pastor's home. They made their home in Nowata County for a short time, and then later at Chelsea for a few years until moving to Bartlesville in 1943, where Mr. Pannell was employed at Reda Pump, Doenges Ford, Brown Motor Co., and Boulevard Auto as a mechanic until he retired in 1981. Mrs. Pannell was a mother and homemaker, and was devoted to her family cooking was her favorite, as she excelled as a pie maker, and enjoyed sewing of which she was self taught and loved to make her grandchildren's dresses and clothes.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bartlesville.
Mrs. Pannell is survived by one son Dennis Pannell and his wife Vickie, of Bartlesville, and by her daughter Mrs. Dorma Sanders and her husband Ronald of Elk City, Kansas, by six grandchildren Michael Sanders and his wife Kathy, Kristi Speicher and her husband Alan, both of Elk City, Kansas, Jana Vaughan and her husband Kevin, of Nowata, Oklahoma, Kerri Veit and husband James of Bartlesville, Ryan Pannell and wife Brenda of Branson, Missouri, and Laura Anderson and husband Greg of Owasso, by 23 great grandchildren, and 4 great- great- grandchildren, and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Eliza Franklin, and by her husband Dorman Dennis Pannell on December 20, 2003, and by a great granddaughter Jennifer Rene "Jenni" Sanders on January 8, 2012, and by three brothers and six sisters.
