Michael D. Maguire

Michael D. Maguire, 71, former longtime resident of Milton, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at home. Mr. Maguire was born in Greenfield and was raised and educated in Brighton. He worked as a repairman for the M.B.T.A. and was a member of Local 589. He also worked as a toll collector for the Turnpike Authority. Mr. Maguire was a New England Patriots season ticket holder for many years, an avid golfer, a youth baseball coach and a founding member of Milton Pop Warner football. He is survived by his wife, Marie (Morris) Maguire; and was the loving father of Kristin OBrien and her husband Mark of Milton, Peggy Maguire of Quincy, Michael Maguire and his wife Ann Marie of Billerica and Danielle Maguire and her husband Matthew Seadale of Boston. Also survived by his brother, James Maguire of New Jersey; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be private.
