I came to Thai Moon on Tuesday as I have done each week for now something like two years only to be greeted with the sad news of Paul's passing. Your family, the food, and the restaurant long ago became one of those rituals in life that givem me great pleasure. I thank all of you for the many small kindnesses, conversations and exotic flavors that you have shared over these years. I hope in this moment you will come to know how all of you have contributed so generously to a much wider community than you perhaps realized. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to know you all.

My sorrow not easily soothed will be carried the rest of my days. You were one of not many that I called my best friend. You leave emptiness, a void in my life that will never be filled. How do you say good-bye to one who saved my life but yet I couldn’t return the favor? The lesson learned once again. The mystery of life is Gods will. Not yours or mine.
