Paul Todd Obituary

Paul F. Todd, of Quincy, passed away Nov. 5, 2011. Beloved husband of Joan C. (Barry) Todd. Loving father of Paul F. Todd Jr. and his wife, Grace of Taipei, Taiwan, Judith Todd of Quincy, James F. Todd and his wife, Adele, of Cary, NC, John B. Todd and his wife, Virginia, of Raleigh, NC, Joan M. Todd and Mary T. Stone, both of Wake Forest, NC and the late Beverly A. Todd. Brother of Barbara Donovan of Weymouth and John Todd of Alexandria, VA. Proud Grampy of Theresa, Trish, James, Daniel, Catherine, Stephanie, Sammy, Marc, Paul, Maggie, Bradley, Caroline, and Anna. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Until Paul's retirement he worked for 37 years as a District Manager for the New England Telephone Company. A lover of dogs, Paul could also be found sitting on his porch enjoying a nice cigar. He enjoyed politics, sports, always willing to give advice to others and lending a helping hand, but the most enjoyment in his life was spending time with his family and grandchildren. Paul was a graduate of South Boston High School and Northeastern University. He was commissioned as an Infantry officer in the United States Army during the Korean War. He proudly served in the military for 20 years and retired as a major in the U.S. Army Reserves. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, prior to the funeral Mass in Saint John's Church, Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Quincy Public Schools, Dept of Special Education, 70 Coddington St., Quincy, MA 02169.
