I wondered why Billy was so much on my mind last week. I didn't realize it had been a year since his tragic death. Billy was such a kind person, very generous and caring and reached out to people who didn't have others in his life to talk to. He was also generous to his two brothers when he hired them to work for him as his work load became demanding. He was a very hard worker and although he had a contract with his church, he went above and beyond his hours to do whatever was needed. I admire all of those qualities and I miss talking with him. I'm so thankful he's with Jesus.

I'm thinking of an elderly gentleman whom Billie met with weekly at Tim Horton's to talk to him because Billie said he didn't have any other friends in his life. I'm assuming this gentleman was told. If not, it may be something someone can look into. Billie, wasn't boastful about what he did so not many knew he did this, I'm sure.

Billie was a good friend. He called me regularly when I was going through multiple health crises within several months. He was faithful at praying for me and genuinely cared. He was devoted to his family and his church and had a vibrant ministry singing to seniors and even put on a couple of singing sessions on Facebook. He was a good hearted guy who loved Jesus. My heart goes out to Judy, his wife, who was dedicated to him.

It’s not every day that you meet someone and instantly form a bond, a connection that you know will last forever. Bill was like a brother and we spent many hours together telling stories and laughing. I’ll miss him terribly. My prayers and thoughts are with Judy and the family.

So many things to say... so many great, great memories... working, hanging out, sharing, singing (well Bill sang, I made a joyful noise) softball, basketball, breakfast, lunches
...etc... a man who had a big heart for others and helped everyone he could... i am filled with mixed emotions... joyful because I know where he is yet a heavy heart because he will be missed...
