Brian A. Hilburn

SPARTANBURG, SC-- Brian A. Hilburn, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, died May 15, 2013 at his home. Born May 22, 1945, in Miami, Fla., he was the son of Edith Hudspeth Waters and the late Fernie Alton Hilburn.
Mr. Hilburn was a retired Marketing Analyst for Milliken & Company and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and was a Christian who grew up in the Episcopal faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Harkey Hilburn and daughter, Millicent Lovell Styles and son-in-law, Kevin Styles. He was predeceased by a daughter, Heide Minett Hilburn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dale Rawlings. Visitation will follow the service.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Brian's passing. Our friendship went back over 50 years. Brian was my ride when I was 14. We lost contact over the years but got together again during the past 5 years. Brian was a great story teller and I will miss him.
