Rev. Dolphus Smith
WOODRUFF, SC-- Rev. Dolphus Smith, 71, of 3346 Price House Road, died Monday, March 21, 2011. He was the son of the late Riley Smith and Iola Hattie Mae McBeth and husband of Joyce Smith of the home.
Other survivors include two daughter, Demetria Archie of Woodruff, SC, and Deloree (Ronnell) Means of Spartanburg, SC; three sons, David (Marty) Smith and Dolphus L. (Sarina) Smith, both of Findlay, OH; Deon (Michaelle) Smith of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, David (Sarah) Smith, Sr. of Fostoria, OH, James Earl (Earleen) Smith of Mansfield, OH; three sisters, Doris Langley, Vickie Smith, and Genise (Merle) Robinson, all of Fostoria, OH; one uncle, Jack (Lucy) Smith of Woodruff, SC.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Poplar Springs AME Church, Laurens, SC. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 26, 2011, at 1:00 PM at Poplar Springs AME Church, Laurens, SC, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, Rev. Smith was a great friend. He always gave me hug when he saw me and encouraging words for me on this journey of working in our church. I will miss him. My prayers and condolences are with you and your entire family.
