Dora Fleming Obituary
UNION, SC-- Mrs. Dora Sinclair Fleming, age 89, widow of Jake Fleming, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Ellen Sagar Nursing Home.
Mrs. Fleming was born in Union, SC August 12, 1924, a daughter of the late Davis Sinclair and Florette Smith Sinclair. She retired from Excel Hosiery and had previously worked at Milliken & Co-Monarch Plant. She was first married to the late Marion Steen.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary S. O'Shields and husband Larry of Union; a son, Bill Steen and wife Clara of Greenville; a sister, Sara Vinson and husband Jack of Union; four grandchildren: Kenny O'Shields, Pam Alexander and husband Doug, Shayla Durst and husband Tod and Dana Glenn and husband Scott and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at SR Holcombe Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Bob Cato. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:30-3:00 PM Sunday in the chapel prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Ellen Sagar Nursing Home, Entertainment and Arts and Crafts Fund, 1817 Jonesville Hwy, Union, SC 29379.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Mary and Larry O'Shields, 887 Beltline Rd., Union.
