Jun 17, 1943 - Nov 7, 2025
Adrianne Euginia King, age 82, of Spokane, WA, passed away November 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born June 17, 1943, a daughter to the late Irma Haffner Fisher Rader and Donald Haffner.
Adrianne was preceded in death by her parents; husband Michael King; siblings Ronald Haffner, twin brother Allen Haffner, sister Florence Haffner Weir; niece Lori Markowski; grandnephew Cody Haffner.
She was member of the Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star Chapter, an institution dedicated to fostering social and intellectual opportunities, and at one point held an honorary position as Queen. Adrianne graduated from John R. Rogers high School in 1961. Although Adrianne trained as a dental hygienist under Dr. Briggs, her passions were gardening, crafting, riding horses, and especially singing. In her youth, her love of singing and dancing allowed her to travel the country as a member of The Silver Spurs. That love of performing also propelled Adrianne into a director's role with The Hillyard Belles, a troupe that sang their way across Eastern Washington. Later in life, she and her husband Michael provided entertainment to many retirement homes and clubs like the Elks around Spokane. Patsy Cline would have been proud to hear Adrianne's rendition of "Walkin' After Midnight". Adrianne's philanthropy included giving time and money to The Meals On Wheels Organization and Salvation Army. A dear friend to all that met her, and a second mom to a few, Adrianne's passing will leave a hole that will be hard to fill. Her generosity, honesty, and enthusiasm have left an indelible footprint of kindness in society that will forever be remembered.
Adrianne is survived by her first husband Larry Parton; sister-in-law Sally Haffner; children Wayne Parton, Juli Parton Dalgarn Wilhite, and Robert Parton; grandchildren Jordan Dalgarn, Joseph Dalgarn, and Julius Parton; nieces and nephews Audrey Sewell, Randy Haffner, Holly Haffner Orbeta, Darrin Haffner, Terri Haffner Bartol, and Collin Haffner.
Heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at Fresenius and Deaconess Hospital for their support and compassion over the last few years. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations made in Adrianne's name to The Meals On Wheels Organization or The Salvation Army.
