Anita JARVIS Obituary

Anita Jane Jarvis was born in Santa Rosa, CA to Merriam and Charles Quackenbush. Most knew her as Mickey. She was recently reunited in the heavens with her beloved husband John Jarvis, as well as her son. In life, they traveled around the world while John served in the United States Air Force. They enjoyed bowling, numerous sports, and meeting new people. They raised their two children alongside her sister and her three and had many bonus kids along the way. They were blessed with a large family full of grandkids, great-grandkids, and even great-grandkids. She loved each of them with the highest level of a mother's love. Always a song to sing to soothe a baby to sleep, or tunes playing to dance in the hall music was her passion until her final days. Anita treated everyone that walked through her doors as if they were blood unless you tried to sit in her precious red chair that matched her favorite pair of pants. She fought for clear air, clean water, fair treatment, and medical justice not just for every family member but for the entire community. She loved deeply and was the glue to the family. It won't be the same without her famous flaming yams at the holidays. She was a coach for many years and also volunteered her time at FAFB. A lover of peaches and apricot jelly; this was the literal preservative of her life (even though she had 10 helping of toast daily) She wanted those who held her dear to remember her in happiness and of fond memories. She did not want sorrow to be the last reminder. We will be having an anniversary/celebration of life at the VFW in Airway Heights on March 17 at 1 pm, kids are welcome. I will end with a message of love from her to all she loved dearly. You know what to say. "I love you more than you do me…… " Anyone who would like to give a monetary gift we ask donations be made in her honor to the Hospice House of Spokane South.

Oh Mama...we did have a good life together ... dancing...singing ( sort of ) ... great childhood always knowing you would drive me and my friends around if we needed transportation. You were the 'go to' parent not only when we were kids, but even as we aged. So many things I could say and did say. I am glad that I took the time to tell you that you were a good mom...you had a life well lived by sheer determination and moxie. There was so much more to you than most people ever knew. I will miss you forever... and we will keep that candy bowl full.
Love you more than you love me! ( Impossible...)
Your loving daughter....always....

Thank you all who have sent well wishes. We have designed a memorial anniversary tee to honor Anita and John; proceeds go to her marker and hospice house. Kids sizes are available. My grandmother used to love having shirts made for all occasions.
