Castle Byers Obituary

BYERS, Castle 'Tut' S. Tut was born in Tourtle Creek, PA April 4, 1923 and Passed away January 18, 2009 in Sun City West Arizona. He was a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Silver Star recipient while serving in World War II. He spent 25 years in the Air National Guard and retired in 1983 as a Master Sergeant. Tut was a member of VFW, Bluestem Grange, Air National Guard Booster Club, Christ Lutheran Church in Egypt. WA .and Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West Az. Tut was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Dorothy, one brother, and two sisters. Survived by his wife Viola, daughters Cindy Byers of Pittsburgh, Pa., Donna [ Bob] of Davenport WA., Dorothy [Bob] Graham of Spokane, WA.,son John Byers Spokane WA., 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. one great-great- grandchild, three sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews. Tut loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting boating, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. Services were held at the Crown of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West, Az. Memorials: Christ Lutheran Church, Hospice of Az. or of your choice.
