Chris HADLEY Obituary

HADLEY, Chris

Chris Hadley, 42, of Pocatello, joined his father, Hugh, and grandmother, Rosie, in heaven Saturday, August 18 after a four-year battle with cancer.
Chris was born April 26, 1970 in Pocatello, Idaho to Hugh and Victoria Hadley. He graduated from Highland High School in 1988 and joined the family car business, Hadley's House of Wheels, in 1992.
Chris married his high school sweetheart, Kari Dodson, on July 29, 2012. She was his soul mate and his best friend, and together they shared adventures and a love deeper than many ever experience.
Chris loved classic cars, golfing and skiing, but he loved his family more than anything. One of his greatest joys was being a father. His daughter, Julia, was his "noodle" and the light of his life. He also deeply touched the lives of his stepchildren Sam and Emily. His love and his example will continue to shape the lives of all three of his children for the rest of their lives.
Chris was proof that any problem can be handled with the right attitude and a sense of humor. No battle was too difficult for him to fight, even when his cancer returned in January 2012. Despite a terminal diagnosis, he continued to find joy in life and peace in God's plan, encouraging others to do so along the way. Wherever there was laughter, you could usually find Chris.
Like his father, Chris couldn't go anywhere without running into a friend. And like his mother, he had a heart for everyone. A bright spot in every life he touched, Chris' death leaves a hole in the hearts of so many loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Kari; daughter Julia (7); stepchildren, Sam (14) and Emily (11); his mother, Victoria; sister, Cori; brother, Scott; his nephews, Josh and Shawn; his nieces, Michelle and Kelli; his great nephew and great niece, Troy and Lizzie; and many aunts, uncles and other cherished family members.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 24 at 5 PM at Calvary Chapel, 1633 Olympus Dr., Pocatello, ID. A celebration of his life will follow afterward at the Juniper Hills Country Club. In honor of Chris' favorite pastime, the family asks that you dress as you would to play a round of golf with him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Chris Hadley either to the local Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (CASA) program, 836 E. Center St., Pocatello, ID, or the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center for Synovial Sarcoma Research, 1100 Fairview Ave N., PO Box 19024, Seattle, WA 98109, or online at www.fhcrc.org.

Funnny, outgoing, life of the party, all true. Compassionate and gentle man most of all! When I wasn't strong enough to hold myself up, Chris was a constant strength and companion. Never did he judge or push- his bright spirit lit my way. I will always love and remember him for that!
