Clyde E. ROGERS

July 8, 1930 - October 10, 2025

With earthly sorrow, but Heavenly hope, we announce the passing of Clyde Edward Rogers on October 10, 2025, surrounded by his family. Clyde was born July 8, 1930, to Duard B. and Thelma I. Rogers in Mabton, WA. After graduating from Grandview High School, he married Norma Jean Long on March 12, 1948. Moving to Redding, CA, he worked for the City Clerk and welcomed the birth of two daughters. Returning to Washington in 1950, they lived in Bickelton, WA, and added a son to the family in 1951. Clyde served in the United States Navy Reserves from 1949-1954.

Relocating to Spokane the same year, Clyde started a 30-year career with IBM in 1959. After two years in Walla Walla, WA, and two more in Lexington, KY. He returned to Spokane, where they bought their home in Pasadena Park, Spokane Valley, WA. They would reside there until their passing.

Dad was an Amateur Radio Operator since 1954 and took great pride in teaching and tutoring other "Hams" in the area International Morse Code or "CW," even at the age of 94. Dad was fondly referred to as the Patriarch of Pasadena Park by all his HAM friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Norma Jean Rogers; parents, Duard and Thelma Rogers; and sister, Edith Vieyra. Survived by his three children, Melanie Lenhart (Richard) Colville, WA, Judy Buckley, and Allen Rogers (Linda) both of Spokane; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Our dad and mom loved the Lord and were not hesitant to share the Faith they had in Jesus Christ. They were longstanding members of Foothills Community Church.
