Dale BAMONTE Obituary
Dale lived a full and adventurous life, filled with family and friends. Born in Wallace Idaho to Louis and Luciel "Sam" Bamonte. Oldest brother who was preceded in death by Tony Bamonte and Star Bamonte-Meyers. Father to Mark and Luana Bamonte, stepfather to Bryan and Lorelei Barney, Tamara, Stephanie and Kimberly Meyenburg. Loving grandfather (Cowboy PaPa) to 19 grandchildren and continuing the legacy with great grandchildren.
Dale was in the Army from 1958 to 1964, beginning at Fort Dix New Jersey, and transferring to Sinop Turkey. He had a thirst for knowledge with degrees in carpentry, electrician, business administration (EWU), and prospecting. Additional service with the National Science Foundation and the Department of the Navy, awarded the Antarctica Service Medal of the United States of America & the Antarctica Service Medal. He was a local Council Member for the Town of Metaline beginning in 1985.
From an early age Dale, loved the outdoors. His father had taught him about mining and prospecting which lit a flame in him. Throughout his life he continued his love for prospecting, the constant "Rockhound" that he shared with family. His final years he was living the dream of prospecting as a lifetime member of The Lost Dutchman club and many other prospecting associations exploring for treasures.
