Dale RIDDLE Obituary

Mountain View - Dale Thomas Riddle passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home in Mountain View, California, surrounded by his family. Dale was born on February 3, 1948, in Spokane, Washington, to Lorraine & Frank Riddle. Dale grew up in Spokane and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and Eastern Washington University. He had a long and very successful career in the computer technology industry. He was an avid equine enthusiast. He played and refereed Polo and was a founding member of the Monterey Bay Polo Club. He shared his love of horses with his wife Becky. He was also an avid golfer passing down his love of the game to both his sons who played college golf. He was an avid sports fan of all the Bay Area teams, but most especially the San Francisco Giants. A love he shared deeply with his two sons. Attending Giants games and playing golf with his sons were some of his favorite activities. Getting to attend two World Series games with his boys was a major highlight. He loved to travel with his wife Becky. They took trips to Hawaii, Turkey, Greece, Australia, and Italy over the years, even learning to speak some Italian. They enjoyed cooking, drinking great wine, and visiting fabulous restaurants.

Dale was an amazing father and husband. He was also an incredible friend to many. He would do anything for a friend and had an uncanny knack for always making you feel like the most important person in the room. His combination of humor, wit, and thoughtfulness will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Becky Riddle of 36 years; his son Travis Riddle and wife Vickie of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; his son Grant Riddle and wife Julie and his grandchildren Leila and Maggie of Rancho Cucamonga, California; his sister Lorna Taylor and husband Dick of Lakewood, Washington; his brother Curtis Riddle and wife Chris of Redmond, Washington; as well as many cousins, nieces & nephews.
