Passed away July 24, 2011 in Spokane, WA. He was born September 15, 1982 in Moses Lake, WA to David Lara and Cecilia Gaeta. David graduated from Columbia Basin Secondary School in Moses Lake and attended Big Bend and Spokane Falls Community Colleges. He then went into the Job Corps in Astoria, OR. David met his fiancé, Tracy L. Barnett during the time they worked at Pet Smart together. He has worked as a press operator at Able Label for the past 5 years. He was also a member of Calvary Chapel. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as listening, mixing and sharing music with his friends. One of his greatest joys was being a dad. He loved playing with and showing off his children. David is survived by his fiancé, Tracy L. Barnett; their son, Noah E. Lara; daughter, Madison Cecilia Lara; step-daughter, Tresa M. Bunch; father, David and Leona Lara, all of Spokane; mother, Cecilia and Leo Gaeta of Othello, WA; sisters, Andrea J. Lara of Spokane and Zarah D. Gaeta and Anamari D. Gaeta, both of Othello; grandparents, Leonzo and Maria Aguiñaga of Moses Lake and Jesus and Isidra DeLuna of Lompoc, CA as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 from 12 Noon until 5 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will take place Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 2 PM at Family of Faith Community Church, 708 W. Nora, Spokane. Today marks year one that the Lord has taken you up to his kingdom. We miss you so much! Spending time with the kids lifts our spirits even higher because we see so much of you in them, but at the same time it hurts so much because we wish you were here to spend it with us. We love and miss you so....much and think about you everyday. We will see you someday again...

A year has passed so quickly & I will never ever forget that horrible call that instantly broke my soul & my heart. We all miss you so very much & think of you all the time. Wish my girls would have had the opportunity to know you, I know they would have thought of you were hilarious! May you rest in God's comfort, cousin. I pray that you watch over your mom, dad & sisters today more than ever, as I am sure today will be a difficult day & they are not all gathered & surrounded by family, friends or each other.
