David SHARP Obituary

A true Renaissance Man, David Allan Sharp was a gifted and skilled singer, veteran, carpenter, inventor, cook, college professor, and generous, loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born in Amherst, Ohio, to Gladys Card and Henry Sharp, Graduate of Omak Senior High School, Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow; US Army Helicopter Flight School, Wenatchee Valley Community College, Eastern Washington University (Bachelor and Masters Arts English degrees); North Idaho College English professor; renovated 'Jones House' in Spokane, Browne's Addition now on Historic Registry; renovated old Valley, WA church with wife, Judith, which has been their home; musical instrument craftsman, created one of a kind flute; processed own marinara sauce selling at farmer's markets. Having an extraordinary baritone voice, David was a longtime soloist at Spokane Unity Spiritual Center, Unity Churches in North Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, and featured soloist at 'Unity Easter at the Opera House' for weddings, memorials, private parties and Spokane Civic Theatre. He was preceded in death by brother, Michael Sharp. David is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Judith Brown Hawk who describes David as "The greatest love I have ever known,"; sister, Cecilia Lara; children, Heather Sharp Villa and David Allan Sharp Jr; grandchildren, Leo Villa, Harrison Villa, L Villa, and Kaia Sharp. David was a very gracious man. I heard him sing solos at Spokane Unity Spiritual Center many times. He had a beautiful and tremendous voice, and I loved to hear him sing. God bless his soul and may all who knew and loved him be comforted.
