MASINGALE, Edith Elaine (Age 57) Edith passed away on September 26, 2014 in her Spokane home with family surrounding her. She was born on August 2, 1957 in Spokane to Kenneth Erickson and Leatrice Elaine Seidel. Edith married Michael Masingale on November 3, 1979 and lived in Spokane all her life. She has worked for the City of Spokane for over 36 years. She worked in different departments through the years and ended her city career at the wastewater treatment plant. One of her passions was being around water, be it a lake, a river or especially the ocean. Family and the time spent with them was most precious. Edith is survived by her husband Michael Masingale; sons Jeremy Thornton, Travis Masingale and Jonathan Masingale; grandmother Ivy Ragsdale; sisters Iva Wilhelm, Linda Brown and Debbie Peterson; grandson Bradley Masingale and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn Gallager, nephew Patrick Pearson, niece Elaine Marie Donahoe and grandfather Leo Ragsdale. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 4 pm at Heritage Funeral Home followed by inurnment at Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers were one of her passions or a donation to hospice or cancer research are welcome as memorial contributions.
