Eric LARSON Obituary

September 18, 1935 - February 9, 2024

Eric Larson, 88, of Colfax, WA, passed away February 9th, 2024, at the Rockwood South Hill retirement community in Spokane, WA. Eric was born September 18th, 1935, in Haxtun, CO, to Elof and Rena Larson. Growing up in Mount Vernon, WA, Eric moved with his older brothers to Whitman County, WA, where he met Donna Gay. Eric and Donna were married September 25th, 1955, at the Onecho Bible Church in Colfax.

Eric graduated from Washington State University in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. After working as a licensed engineer in Arizona and Idaho, Eric returned to Colfax in 1980 and worked for the McGregor Company for 20 years before retiring in 2000.

Eric was an avid pilot, accomplished musician, and gifted wood carver. He loved flying his Citabria airplane out of Colfax Airport and playing his music with the Palouse Country Cowboy Poets Association. Eric is survived by his wife of 68 years, Donna Larson, his daughter Kristin Larson, and his son-in-law Sam Carpenter.

A memorial service has been planned for Saturday, March 9th, at 10am, at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1015 NE Orchard Dr, Pullman, WA 99163.
