Greg Smith was just the gentlest of souls. I always enjoyed learning from him about electric apparatus and about his 'latest and greatest' innovative project. Greg was an inventor at heart and was always looking for ways to make lives better, and safer. We miss him. I miss him.

Greg was a mentor to me when I first started working at WWP in the claims and Risk Management. We worked on many customer issues to provide the best service possible. We have been in touch recently during his retirement. I will miss him.

Whenever I see the Geico commercial featuring the song "One Headlight" I think of Greg, heading down the road on his motorcycle, that infectious grin on his face.....

One of the finest people we've met. Always a welcoming smile, caring words and a calm presence. We remember stories that he shared about Kendra & Meghan. He were so proud of them and enjoyed your grandkids. Such a complement and loyal companion for Robin. So glad you had a few retirement years to enjoy. Gone too soon. We'll miss him. Greg was a hero. No, he wasn't saving people from burning buildings or a frightened kitten up in a tree. He was “fighting hunger and feeding hope” by being a volunteer driver for 2nd Harvest. Every Tuesday he and a helper would drive to Costco to pickup bread donations. Then they were off to deliver food drive boxes or pickup food-filled boxes from community participants. Greg was one of our “special go-to guys” when the unexpected happened. He would always say, “Let me check my calendar” and pull out his cell phone. After a pause, he would reply, “I can do that” or perhaps “the grandkids are coming over, but please call me next time”.
The light in his eyes, his mischievous smile, and his compassionate heart will be greatly missed.

Greg was always in a good mood when I had the pleasure to work with him. He always had a kind smile and made those around him feel welcome and comfortable. It was a pleasure and a privilege crossing paths with him.

I worked with Greg for many years on many different projects at WWP/Avista. He was always the master of his craft; with style, personality, and an infectous grin. He will be sorely missed.
