Heidi K. PHAN

1970 - 2024

Heidi Kristine Phan, 54, left us peacefully on November 29th, 2024, to be with the Lord in heaven. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, Heidi will always be remembered for her great love of God, and her humble desire to walk in Christ's footsteps by serving and caring for others. Heidi was born on November 28th, 1970, to Neil and Leanne Schillinger and was declared by her Grandmother Donna to be the most beautiful baby she had ever seen, which her parents, of course, agreed. Heidi attended West Valley High School and participated in many activities including cross country, track and dance team. After graduating from West Valley, Heidi attended WSU where she met her husband, Lam Phan. After obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Heidi became a nurse and spent most of her 25 years on the Sacred Heart neurology floor doing what she enjoyed most, caring for others. While a nurse, Heidi and Lam had two daughters, Jasmine and Grace, who Heidi cherished with all of her heart. Having a very deep Christian faith, Heidi loved studying Christ's word, singing daily praises, and telling others about the Lord. Some of Heidi's greatest joys were teaching children about the Bible at Redeemer Lutheran Church's vacation bible school and Bible Study Fellowship. Despite battling uterine cancer for 3.5 years, Heidi kept a positive attitude and found strength in the Lord. Heidi is survived by her husband, Lam; daughters, Jasmine (Sam) and Grace (Isaac); grandson, James; parents, Neil and Leanne; siblings, Jeremy (Meaghan), Andrew (Carissa), and David (Jenny); and an enormous extended family. Heidi's memorial will be at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Spokane Valley, on December 14th, at 11am.
