Howard KELLY Obituary

Spokane- Born November 3, 1930, in La Verne, CA to Arch Kelly and Gladys Parks. Entered eternal life at home in Spokane, WA on July 30, 2025, with family by his side.

In 1946, Howard moved to Reardan with his family where he enrolled at Reardan High School and graduated in 1951. He joined the U.S. Army and served in Alaska during the Korean War from 1951-53. Upon returning from his service, he married his high school sweetheart, Nadine Mae Howard on October 18, 1953.

Howard worked as an auto body technician in Spokane until coming back to Reardan to farm in 1971. He is remembered by his family for his hard work, handiness, patience, and his love, care, and attentiveness to the needs of all around him. He especially loved children and was always happiest surrounded by little ones.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arch, Edward, and Franklin, and his daughter Colleen (Walker.) He is survived by his wife of nearly 72 years, Nadine, sister Betty (Plummer,) daughter Kathy (Henthorn,) grandsons Geoff Schulz (Maggie), Kevin Schulz (Melanie), and Kelly Henthorn (Katie,) and great-grandchildren Andrew Schulz, John Schulz, Luke Schulz, Kristyn Schulz, Kaitlyn Schulz, Karalyn Schulz, Carsten Schulz, and Brian Henthorn and just missed the birth of great-great grandson Brian Fogle.

A memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at All Saints Lutheran Church, 314 S Spruce St, Spokane, WA 99201.
