Irma Conley

CONLEY, Irma E. (Age 103) Passed away April 7, 2010 in Cheney, Washington. She was born August 14, 1906 to Lewis and Lydia Hartley in Hanley,Nebraska. Her family moved to Washington State in 1912. She graduated from Cheney High School and started work at the Cheney TelephoneCompany, where she remained for 43 years. She belonged to the Retired Telephone Pioneers, Royal Neighbors and the United Methodist Church. In 1937 Irma married Elmer Conley and they were married for 51 years, until his passing. She had been living in the Cheney Care Center for the last few years. Irma was greatly loved and will be missed by family and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lester Hartley. She is survived by her sister, Velma (Baird) Cunningham, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, April 12, 2010 at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
