Fr. Moreland offered a kind and gentle approach to gardening work and guidance (G. Prep.), imbued with an unwavering spirituality for which I'm grateful.

Father Moreland was my Latin teacher and school librarian at Bellarmine Prep in 1960-61. We reconnected in 1966 when he was on the staff of Mt. St. Michael's in Spokane. He was humorous, learned, spiritual, and mild-mannered while maintaining strong core spiritual values. I am fortunate to have made one more connection with him at our fifty-year class reunion at Bellarmine in 2014. Gordy, as we students called him, was exemplary of the excellent Jesuit scholastics we were so privileged to have as teachers and role models in high school. Their influence on our futures is immeasurable, and Gordy was among the best.
