It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

A friend and I recently had a nice conversation, remembering John and what a nice guy and hard worker he was. Having lost touch we wondered about his health. How nice to have great memories of John! I am certain that he will be richly rewarded in the Heavenly Kingdom.

My deepest sympathy sent to John's family and friends. So sorry for your loss. Rest in peace. Wanted to share a poem called ~When I am Gone~

When I am gone, release me and let me go

I have so many things to see and do.

You must not tie yourself to me with tears

be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love, you can only guess

how much you gave to me in happiness.

I thank you for the love you each have shown,

but now it is time I travel on alone.

So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must

then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It is only for a while that we must part

so bless the memories in your heart.

I will not be far away, for life goes on;

so if you need me, call and I will come.

Even though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near,

and if you listen with your heart, you will hear

all of my love around you, soft and clear.

In time when you must come this way alone

I will greet you with a smile and say

"Welcome Home"

John painted up a storm in my house several years ago. Some of it was really hard work, yet he always had a smile. I just loved working with him. His work was remarkable but, even more, he was so creative. I might have an idea but he could look at it and see how it would look better a different way. He was great! My condolences to John's family and friends.
