Jonathan BOYD Obituary

Jonathan Vernae Boyd was born July 30, 1964, at Fairchild Airforce Base to Spencer and Christine Boyd.

He was raised in Missoula, Montana, where he spent endless hours on the ski hill, and even more hours causing trouble with lifelong friends, Tom, Brian, and Jerry.

He served honorably in the National Guard for six years.

He married Sherri Wright on May 28, 1989. He is survived by three children, Tonya, Joshua (Brietta), and Candice (Preston); eight full of life grandchildren, Spencer, Baylee, Benjamin, Brynlee, Natasha, Rowan, Hudson, and Finnley; and two sweet puppies, "The girls."

Jon will always be remembered for his bottomless pocket full of candy, his unmatched ginger snap cookies, his omelets, jerky, and homemade ice cream.

He was a fixture in our community. Involved in his local water board, a season ticket holder at the Spokane Indians, and a friendly face at Glass Gods. He coached countless youth baseball games– including his grandson, Spencer.

We hope there are R.C. Cars in heaven, Pop Tate.

Go Zags, Mariners, Indians, Cougs, and Broncos!

I remember the day he married Sherri. It was a beautiful ceremony, bbq lunch was served, and his eyes were transfered on his beautiful bride. He fixed an amazing smoked bbq meal for family on one of our visits, and is was truly amazing. It was the first time we'd had actual smoked bbq meat. He was always smiling and positive comments when we visited. Jobs and distance was a barrier to visit and know him more, but we loved him greatly. Go rest high Jon.
