Justin HOLMES Obituary

Justin Lee Holmes flew "Bat out of Hell" into the sunset on January 22, 2022. He was born on January 21, 1971, in Silverton, Oregon to Ray Holmes and Patricia Cook Radik.

They remained in Oregon for a short time before making a home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Truly this was the best move for Justin-his love for the outdoors was simply amazing....everything from snow camping, jeeping, camping, hiking, fishing, boating, mud bogging, and going to the ocean.

Justin attended schools in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. After Ray and Pat divorced he also attended schools in Libby, MT, Sandpoint, ID, Preist River, ID before living in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Justin was called upon by our country to the first gulf war of 1991, for the US Army, which he excelled He returned to Florida for a short time before he headed back to the mountains of Idaho. Here he detailed and repaired vehicles with amazing talent....and as always, on his time off you would find him enjoying the mountains and his dogs and life in general.

In May of 2011, Justin met the love of his life, Deanne Westhaver. Once they met it didn't take long for him to pack up and move to Nine Mile Falls, WA to be with her and her three children Geordan, Makenah, and Cameron Jarrett. He adored her children almost as much as he adored her. Unfortunately, his time with us ended short 10.5 years later.

Justin is survived by his heart partner Deanne Westhaver and her three children, his father Ray (Beth) Holmes, Bonners Ferry, ID, his mother Patricia (Dan) Cook Radik, Oregon City, OR, sister Nerissa (Dave) Holmes Frahm, brother David Ray ( Beth) Holmes Kingsland, GA, stepsister Angelique (Alex) Kursman Las Vegas, NV, two (almost three) grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews along with aunts, uncles, and cousins. His extended family through Deanne includes her parents Les (Sharon) Westhaver and her two sisters and their husbands and children, who loved him deeply.

He is loved and missed terribly by all that have been touched by him, but every rustling of the trees in the wind is Justin speaking to each of us, reminding us to live our lives to the fullest... you are in our hearts forever.
