Karl was my friend. We worked together at First Security Bank computer center in the early 1970's. He had a profound influence on my life. He was incredibly intelligent, and nobody who knew him can ever forget his witty way. He was a natural storyteller. He would tell us his war stories and it was unbelievable what he endured. He played a significant role in my life and I will forever be grateful to hold him in my heart. Rock on Smitty!
