Kelly LOUNDER Obituary
Kelly was married to his high school sweetheart, Carey Warren, for 46 wonderful years. Together they faced life's challenges with courage and devotion, including Kelly's brave battle with Alzheimer's disease, lovingly supported by Carey. Their enduring partnership was a testament to true love and commitment.
Kelly dedicated 42 years of his life to working at Kaiser Aluminum, where his hard work and integrity left a lasting impact. In his youth, he was a talented athlete, earning the title of league MVP in baseball during high school. His love for sports continued into adulthood as he enjoyed playing softball and basketball, and he participated in numerous fun runs, road races, and even completed a marathon.
A passionate golfer, Kelly cherished time spent on the green, especially enjoying chipping golf balls onto his homemade green alongside his son and grandsons. He was also an avid cyclist, often riding his bike to visit his daughters, and a devoted gardener with a passion for growing giant pumpkins. Kelly's remarkable gardening skills yielded pumpkins over 500 pounds, with a personal best of 670 pounds. Halloween was a magical time in the Lounder household, where carving these giant pumpkins became a cherished tradition akin to Christmas.
Kelly's heart was fullest when he was with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Carey; his children, Levi, Casey, and Kelsie; his sisters, Kathy, Teresa, and Debbie; his brother, David; and his five beloved grandchildren: Dannika, Jenna, Kendall, Brayden, and Caden.
Kelly was truly one of a kind - a devoted husband, a caring father, a proud grandfather, a loving brother and uncle, and a dear friend to many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Kelly. Your legacy of love, strength, and kindness will be forever remembered.
