Kenneth SCOTT Obituary

Scott, Kenneth Lee. Ken was born on February 8, 1946 in Neosho, MO to Estel and Ada Scott. He passed away in the loving care of his family and Hospice House of Spokane on December 11, 2023.

Ken loved to play … everything. Ride bikes, build with Legos, paint by numbers, tennis, water ski, snow ski, camp, bake cookies, video games, golf; anything that involved playing he was up for. He always said "Dishes can wait, let's go play". He was also one of the original DIY-ers. He could fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand. If he didn't know how to do it, he would figure it out and was always willing to show others how to fix a car, wire electrical circuits, operate the tools in his wood working shop and fix anything else that came along.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, older brother Freeman Scott and the love of his life, Lorna Scott. He was a warm, gentle person and will be missed by his daughter Lorie Arnold (Shannon Meagher), son Will Scott (Karice Scott), granddaughter, Alexandra Arnold (Matt Oehlert), great grandchildren, Adelyn Oehlert and Mavrick Oehlert, sister Teresa Mann (Frank Mann) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Thank you to the Stroke Unit at Sacred Heart and the wonderful, caring staff at Hospice House of Spokane for their care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane. A celebration of life will be held in early 2024.

My brother Kenneth was the best big brother a girl could have. He was always supportive and would always be there to lend a ear. His family was everything to him and he was the perfect role model to every person in the family. He will be greatly missed and is truly loved by all that had the honor to know him. Thank you Kenneth for being such a great big brother.

Uncle Kenny was one of the most genuinely kind and generous men I have ever known. I will always remember his laugh, his patience and his wisdom. He is much loved.
