We were so shocked to hear about Kevin. We treasure the memories of his visits with us in Nebraska. The boys were quite a pair and brought us much joy. We were blessed to have him a part of our lives. Kevin holds a Very Special place in our hearts and we speak of him often. We are proud of the man Kevin became. His kind careing ways and fun personality will be missed. Our sympathy to Kim, the children,Florence,Mark and Marvy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I had the great good fortune to spend two days with Kevin during the really bad snow days winter before last. We were paired up on the paratransit vans, since service was so restricted. I think we talked about every subject under the sun! Kevin was not only a great talker, but also a great listener. I will miss sharing news about our families (especially the canine members!) out in the STA parking lot after work. Kevin was one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I miss him greatly, but his wonderful spirit will always be with me. Rest in peace, Flower Child.

I am so sorry to hear about Kevin, he was such a great kid. To me he will always be that skinny kid running up and down the Freeseway Drive, playing catch with all the smaller kids. My kids adored him, Scott, David, and Mindy along with all the other kids on the drive, they all followed him around like he was the pied piper..and he was, always had time for them. This is hard for all of us to understand why this happened. But know he left a lot of memories for all who knew him.
So sorry for your loss

I am having a hard time putting into words how sad it is to hear of Kevin's passing. He was so kind and friendly. Kevin was not one to look the other way as you passed in the hall. I worked with Kevin at STA and he had an abundance of love for everyone, always stopping to visit. I used to tease him for getting so close to me when we talked, oh what I would give to be able to hug him now. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, he will be dearly missed.

I met Kevin at speed work on Tuesday evenings. He was always a bright spot in anyones day. Everyone there enjoyed his company and upbeat attitude. He brought out the best in all of us. He enjoyed coming to the workouts and loved the company. He will be greatly missed. Last week everyone agreed that they wanted to run because that is what he would want them to do. So the efforts were in honor of our friend.

My brother and I grew up with Kevin as someone to look up to and someone who looked out for us. He was the big brother I never had. He always had time for a game of wiffleball, softball or football. Even though I hadnt seen Kevin in over 30 years, I know he was still my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in their time of loss.

on occation I rode bikes with Kevin or we would go on runs with his neighbor Wayne. We ran the Snake River half marathon the last two years with Kevin. He drove us to the race & loved to talk the whole way. He had a winning attitude on every run. This past summer I did track training @ SCC and Kevin was there running just a little faster than I could. He would always incourage all of us at the track to run faster. "Good Job" he would say. He seemed to live life to the fullest every day. I never saw him down. I will miss those runs and rides and the conversations of life happenings. Kevin, you taught us how to live. Rest peacefully.

Kim, my thoughts and prayers go out to you and the kids. I'll never forget the days and nights Kevin and would sit on my porch and have long talks about bikes, wine, cars, our houses and our dreams for the future. I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor than Kevin. He was always willing to help in any way possible and would never say no. He was a true giver. I feel greatful to have met Kevin and to have spent the time I did with him. I'll miss you Buddy.

Kevin and I met on one of his first days as a Para Transit driver and it was a fast friendship from that point on. We shared holiday tradition stories and he said he adopted our family tradition of a Xmas scavenger hunt so the kids could better enjoy the holiday by gathering clues as to where their presents were waiting for them in the house. He said they loved the new tradition. There has never been another Xmas that goes by that I haven't thought of him. I have been out of the system for years but hold Kevin and his family very close to my heart. Love to you and the kids Kimberly...my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will miss our long talks we shared in the parking lot of the Bong's Grocery Store about neighborhood issues and politics. Kevin was a man who was never shy about his love for his family and community. Truly a gift and I am grateful that the good Lord shared him with West Central and that he left 3 children to carry his legacy. I am sorry for your family loss.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear about Kevin. When we were kids we lived on the same dead-end street. The whole street played together. I have many good memories of the football games in the Lukes's yard. We all fondly called him Weasel then because he was so small and skinny. I only saw Kevin once after I moved away when he was back home visiting his Mom. I was impressed with the way he had "grown up". Your life was way too short, Kevin. But your memory will live on.

Kevin had a way of making everyone he knew, smile and feel wonderful. He would come into the Arc Community Center and made sure he said hello to all and always had a great little story to tell. We are sad to see our friend go and we want Kimberly and his family to know that he will be miss by many.

I am so saddened by this news. I was on a bike ride a few weeks back and Kevin came up behind me on his bike and we ended up riding together. We laughed about life and shared stories about our children and their future. My memories of Kevin will forever be his gentle nature, and positive energy. My love and prayers go to his wife and children. Cindy Havko ( Spokane, WA)

My sister and I were blessed to know Kevin. We had just seen him at the last rest stop and got to talk to him. He was always so sweet, but told Linda and I that we were always so sweet. He called us LindaLou, since we are twins and he couldn't tell us apart. We met him originally at the gym and were blessed to have known him. We were glad he came to do the ride, so we could see him. He looked forward to the MS ride. My prayers go out to the family during this time of grief. Take care.
