Larry BECKER Obituary

Buckley - Larry James Becker, aged 85, passed away on December 16, 2024, surrounded by family. His life was anchored by his family and friendships. He is survived by his sons, Steve and Terry Becker. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Patty Becker, who was his lifelong companion and love.

Larry proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army. After his service, he made his mark by established the North Division Muffler Clinic in Spokane which he owned and operated for most of his life. His work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were well-respected in the community.

He was involved in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church of Spokane throughout his life. Larry's personal life was enriched by his passion for custom cars. An active member of the Duke's car club, he spent countless hours building race cars, show cars, hot rods, and muscle cars. His skills as a fabricator allowed him to create unique vehicles that won national level awards and were featured in magazines. Larry's legacy is marked by his strong values, his commitment to his community, and the lasting impact he had on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose life he touched.

A memorial service will be held in Spokane in the spring. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made in Larry's behalf to the Spokane Humane Society, a cause dear to his heart.

I met Larry when I first used Doc's for a muffler in 1980. He was a great guy with a happy attitude. To the day I only use Doc's for my muffler work. You will be missed Larry!

I've known Larry since about 1980, He's always been a good friend and it's with a heavy heart that I write this. The man has been a pillar in the Hot Rod community. The last time I saw him was at the Rockford car show with his trusty pickup. I believe he won an award that day, one of many in his life time. Some people leave an impression on your life and Larry sure fits that description. I will miss him, but I'm sure glad I was fortunate enough to be counted as one of his friends RIP Larry God Speed
