Lola MCLELLAN Obituary
MCLELLAN, Lola Anne
Lola Anne McLellan went to her eternal home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born in Seattle, WA on Aug. 15, 1924 to Homer and Anna (Jurich) Garland. The Garland family moved to Spokane in 1939. Lola Anne graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and the Sacred Heart School of Nursing. At the age of 53 she graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in applied psychology. Lola Anne married Robert B. McLellan on February 2, 1946. After marrying Bob, Seven Mile was her home. Bob and Lola Anne were married for 53 years. In 2002 Lola Anne married Richard Reames. Lola was a member of Assumption Parish and also the Third Order of Franciscans. Lola Anne was preceded in death by her parents, both her husbands, a son Robert Walker McLellan, her brother John Garland and sisters Mary Jane O'Neill and Jill Pendarvis. Lola is survived by 11 children: Marcia (Dick) McGivern Hemenway, Sue (Larry) Anderson, Bob (Julie) McLellan, Mary McLellan, Meg McLellan, Rose (Tim) Gower, Rita McLellan, George (Vickie) McLellan, John (Jan) McLellan, Roger (Lin) McLellan, Anne Marie (Tom) McLellan Bade, along with 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 3624 W. Indian Trail Road, Spokane, on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Graveside services will be at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall, Spokane, WA. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Brookdale Nine Mile and Hospice of Spokane for their caregiving and support. Memorial donations in Lola's memory may be sent to the "Employee Appreciation Fund", Brookdale Nine Mile, 5329 W Rifle Club Ct., Spokane, WA 99208.
